The Black Forest cotton cake consists of three soft, light, and fluffy chocolate cotton sponges and two layers of cherries, fresh whipped cream and cherry syrup filling; covered with Chantilly
cream (sweeten whipped cream) and dark chocolate shavings, topped with chocolate ganache and garnished with fresh cherries (only available during cherry's season, otherwise Maraschino cherry will be used as a replacement) A classic flavour in cotton sponge!
What is Cotton sponge cake?
Cotton sponge cake is commonly sold in Asian cake shops, it has less sugar and dairy (no butter) and is much lighter than other regular sponge cakes. The cake is baked in a water bath for one and a half hour to produce a much more soft and moist sponge.| Size (available in square or round) |
